Brown Family Homestead

Charming Homestead Rental & Outdoor Wedding Venue

Welcome to the Brown Family Homestead.
We appreciate you stopping by.

Hello and thanks for checking in about the Brown Family Homestead! We are a rustic, outdoor destination venue located on 15 private acres at the foot of Dirty Face Mountain, on the north side of Lake Wenatchee. The property is surrounded by trees, open meadows, the Cascades, historic buildings, and even a few Homestead animals. In addition to having a gorgeous (and meaningful) space, we pride ourselves on having an easy-going, nature-loving, organized team to show you around the homestead (or even to help plan your big day).

Kailen Duffield, Owner

Hi, I'm Kailen, owner here at Brown Family Homestead. It is such an honor to share our little piece of paradise with our couples and guests. With several years of experience coordinating events and working in hospitality, I truly understand what it takes to pull a team of vendors together and execute a high-quality event. As a mom, animal lover and nature enthusiast, working under the craggy peak of Dirtyface Mountain at the beautiful homestead is simply a dream. Whether you’re dreaming of a grand celebration or an intimate gathering, my goal is to deliver a smooth, stress-free experience that allows you to simply enjoy your day. I can’t wait to meet you and help bring your wedding vision to life!

Karen Dickinson, Homestead Owner

Hi, I am Karen Dickinson (Brown), this generation’s custodian of the Brown Family Homestead. The Browns came to this valley in 1902, and this very special property has been in my family ever since. We’ve been doing our own weddings here for generations, and we’re delighted to have opened our doors to other families... Over the last ten years, it’s been my pleasure and honor to organize weddings in our beautiful valley. We offer simple country weddings for couples who find more beauty in each other, and a mountain meadow, than they find in pricey city venues. In addition to helping plan special moments, I spend much of my time with my family enjoying the outdoors.
