Brown Family Homestead

Charming Homestead Rental & Outdoor Wedding Venue

Welcome to the Brown Family Homestead.
We appreciate you stopping by.

Hello and thanks for checking in about the Brown Family Homestead! We are a rustic, outdoor destination venue located on 15 private acres at the foot of Dirty Face Mountain, on the north side of Lake Wenatchee. The property is surrounded by trees, open meadows, the Cascades, historic buildings, and even a few Homestead animals. In addition to having a gorgeous (and meaningful) space, we pride ourselves on having an easy-going, nature-loving, organized team to show you around the homestead (or even to help plan your big day).

Amanda McCargo, Owner

My name is Amanda McCargo, Owner here at the Brown Family Homestead. With several years of experience coordinating events and working in hospitality, I truly understand what it takes to pull a team of vendors together and execute a high-quality event. Not only do I work at the Homestead, but I recently planned my own 2021 wedding in the midst of this pandemic, so I get the hardships of planning a wedding right now. My experience will help to make sure that your big day captures the unique love that you and your partner share. Aside from my work in events, I am a mom, animal lover, outdoor enthusiast, and PNW native.

Megan Christoferson, Wedding Coordinator

Hello! I am Megan Christoferson, Wedding Coordinator at Brown Family Homestead. As a Washington state native, nestled in the mountains is where I truly feel myself. I find joy in photography, cooking, and hiking with my pup. Embarking on my inaugural season of crafting dream weddings, I’m honored to commence this journey in such a breathtaking setting. My background includes a decade of experience in hospitality through coordinating events with the Marriott Culinary Innovation Foundation, assisting with the Apple Blossom Festival, while earning my Bachelor’s in Hospitality Business Management at Washington State University. My passion lies in uniting people and bringing visions to fruition. I seek to create unforgettable memories where love and celebration intertwine. I look forward to meeting you and making your event dreams come true.

Karen Dickinson, Coordinator and Homestead Staff

Hi, I am Karen Dickinson (Brown), this generation’s custodian of the Brown Family Homestead. The Browns came to this valley in 1902, and this very special property has been in my family ever since. We’ve been doing our own weddings here for generations, and we’re delighted to have opened our doors to other families... Over the last ten years, it’s been my pleasure and honor to organize weddings in our beautiful valley. We offer simple country weddings for couples who find more beauty in each other, and a mountain meadow, than they find in pricey city venues. In addition to helping plan special moments, I spend much of my time with my family enjoying the outdoors.
